There are different types of motor insurance policies to consider:

Comprehensive Policy:   In your Motor insurance policy, comprehensive coverage provides protection in the event of physical damage other than collision or theft of the insured car. For example, fire damage, cracked windshield, damage resulting from falling objects, certain natural disasters and vandalism. 

Third Party Fire & Theft Policy: This provides protection in the event of theft and fire of the motor vehicle.  The cover also extends to the legal liability for damage to other parties and bodily injury caused to others.

Third Party Policy:  This policy covers the insured against legal liability to third parties in respect of death, bodily injury or damage to property.  It does not cover damage to your vehicle.

Act Policy:  Minimum Third Party liability required under the Motor Vehicle (Third Party Risk) Act

What should I do if I get into an accident?

No one ever wants to be involved in an auto accident. Unfortunately, it can happen to even the best drivers. If you’re ever in an accident, here are some helpful tips that will guide you when filing your auto insurance claim.

At the Scene:

  1. Get medical help if anyone is injured.
  2. Phone the police so that they can help with the situation.
  3. Allow medical professionals and/or the police to control the accident scene.
  4. Discuss the accident only with the police.
  5. Do not admit fault to anyone.
  6. Gather information. Get the names, addresses, phone numbers, and auto insurance information of all parties involved. Be sure to get contact information from witnesses as well.
  7. If you have a camera with you, take photos to document vehicle damage, the intersection where the accident occurred, skid marks, and any other features of the accident scene.
  8. Above all, try to remain calm.

As soon as possible:

  1. Report the incident either to our caring and professional Claims Administrators by calling (876) 968-1100 or visit our office. 
  2. Write down what you think happened for your own records.


What should I do if my car is vandalized?

If you discover that your car has been vandalized, notify the police immediately, so they can issue a police report documenting the damage. This information will assist in the processing of your claim.

With any act of vandalism, it's important to remember to leave your car the way you found it until the police have the opportunity to inspect it

It's always a good idea to document vehicle damage. If you have a camera with you when you discover the vandalism, take photos of the damage.

What should I do if my car is stolen?

If your vehicle has been stolen contact the police immediately then report the incident to one of our claims representative and they will immediately start the process of getting you back on the road.

Please remember to use some preventive measures to avoid falling victim to car thieves. Installing alarm and anti-theft features not only help ward off would-be thieves, it can also earn you an auto insurance discount.
